I have been running my computer lately from a live cd while I wait for Hitachi to send my fscked hard disk back. This weekend I decided to install Linux to my usb 2.0 hard drive. This turned out to work fairly well, but it involved quite a bit of reseach. It was also complicated by the fact that the external hard drive was where all of my precious data from the afore mentioned Hitachi disk was. After lots of interesting reading at the command line and creative cussing, I mangaged to get this beast up and running.
In addition to geeking out, I have been doing some recording this weekend on my Fostex MR-8. Once I get it mixed down, I will post it here.
